At Caldan Constructions, our core expertise lies in residential and commercial building refurbishment, with a significant focus on the insurance repair sector. We operate across a broad spectrum within the insurance industry, ranging from Business as Usual (BAU) to major loss projects, and we also take on select commercial and educational projects. Our close-knit team operates out of our headquarters in Landsborough with remote supervisors covering Northern NSW and throughout Queensland.

The Role
As a Site Supervisor at Caldan Constructions, you will play a pivotal role in managing insurance repairs, as well as contributing to commercial and educational projects. While the majority of projects will be located in Brisbane, travel to other areas will be required during major weather events.

About You

• You are based in Brisbane and possess the flexibility for occasional travel within Queensland.
• Exceptional attention to detail, enabling you to thoroughly review and comprehend extensive tender documentation.
• Ability to confidently assess building and/or roof damages and scope for repair.
• Be up to date with NCC requirements.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Possess the ability to solve problems promptly and have a can-do attitude.
• Customer focused. Someone who can engage with customers in a nice and friendly manner.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Your role at Caldan Constructions will involve:

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience supervising residential construction projects within the Australian building industry.
• Supervise multiple projects from assessment to hand-over.
• Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders including homeowners.
• Understand scope of works, engineering specifications and drawings.
• Completion of Site-Specific Risk Assessments and reviewing subcontractor SWMS’s and work procedures.
• Coordinating the planning, preparation, and execution of daily activities.
• Current QBCC Site Supervisor licence mandatory with trade background being advantageous but not a necessity.
• MUST HAVE experience with writing damage causation reports including roof reports.
• Must be willing and able to use ladders and inspect roofs.
• Have a valid driver's licence.
