STARKE Injection Moulding ( SIM SOUTH AUSTRALIA) is a 100% Australian owned company and part of the STARKE Advanced Manufacturing Group. A group of companies which offer clients End to End advanced manufacturing services.

SIM SA works closely with our internal industrial design, prototyping and tooling teams to deliver quality injection moulded products often involving assembly and post moulding operations.

We are looking for an experienced full time Die-Setter / Moulding Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting injection moulds according to the production schedule to produce accurate and high quality parts.

As our Die-Setter / Moulding Technician you will be responsible for:

• Set up and operation of various types / sizes of injection moulds and equipment.
• Die alignment, function, and maintenance.
• Collaboration with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve any die-setting issues.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and trouble shooting for repairing dies as necessary.
• Analysing production specifications, drawings, and work orders to determine appropriate die settings.
• Adjusting and modifying dies to achieve precise product dimensions and specifications.

About you:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Die Setter or equivalent role.
• Willingness to learn and great communication skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures, including workplace safety practices.
• Must have current forklift license.
