We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader Family Support – Connecting Families to lead a team of practitioners in delivering early intervention programs that connect families with the support they need to thrive.

About the Role

As the Team Leader Family Support – Connecting Families, you will:

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to a team of family support practitioners, ensuring high-quality, client-centred service delivery.
  • Oversee the Connecting stream of family support services, focusing on early intervention, diversion, and recovery responses.
  • Lead the implementation of evidence-based programs to support families with emerging or situational needs.
  • Ensure families are connected with universal services, improving their knowledge, skills, and confidence to self-manage.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to build an integrated, agile, and innovative service model across the Connecting, Strengthening, and Restoring service streams.
  • Manage caseloads effectively, providing guidance on risk assessment, case management, and complex cases.
  • Support program development, service coordination, and compliance with funding and reporting requirements.

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring leadership, collaboration, and sector expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in leading teams within a community services or family support environment.
  • Strong knowledge of child and family services, early intervention strategies, and the Victorian family services framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to navigate complex service environments.
  • A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practices, ensuring positive outcomes for diverse families and communities.
