We are looking for a committed and dynamic Team Leader Family Support - Strengthening Families (Adolescent Focus) to provide leadership and oversight to our Family Support Services, ensuring high-quality, evidence-informed interventions that promote child safety, wellbeing, and family stability.
About the Role
As the Team Leader Family Support - Strengthening Families (Adolescent Focus), you will:
- Lead and support a team of Family Support Practitioners in delivering evidence-based programs that strengthen families and build parenting capacity.
- Provide oversight for Family Support Service Responses focusing on cumulative, frequent, and complex family needs, ensuring safety and positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Lead the Strengthening Families stream, with a particular focus on adolescents and families experiencing escalating challenges.
- Support the delivery of Meli’s adolescent family support service responses, including the Step Up Program (Adolescents Using Violence in the Home Program).
- Collaborate across Family Support Service Streams (Connecting, Strengthening, and Restoring) to create a seamless, integrated client experience.
- Advocate for young people and families, supporting early intervention, risk assessment, and trauma-informed care approaches.
- Ensure quality service delivery through supervision, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $115,319 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring leadership, expertise, and a commitment to Family Support Services. To succeed in this position, you will have, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or an equivalent field.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and supervision within a complex service delivery environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, child safety standards, and best-practice interventions for at-risk families.
- Experience working with adolescents and families facing complex challenges, particularly those involved in youth justice, family violence, or adolescent development.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in case management, risk assessment, and program oversight to ensure quality outcomes for clients.
