About the Company

Our client is a boutique consultancy offering investment and management services nationally. To assist with a period of transition, they are seeking a senior payroll specialist with experience in end-to-end processing, project support and a solid knowledge in applying Awards and Agreements.

This position is being offered as an open-ended contract, with potential for permanency. The permanent salary band is $120 000 to $130 000 per annum plus superannuation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include -

• Payroll processing for 300 employees fortnightly.
• New Starters / Terminations.
• Leave entitlement and back-pay calculations
• Processing allowances and deductions.
• End of month & end of year payroll processing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Respond to pay queries, conduct investigations, prepare reports and perform wage analysis.
• Process all Workcover claims wages.
• Maintenance of employee records in the payroll system.
• Processing of Payroll Tax for QLD and NSW.
• Processing superannuation payments.

About You

You must be suitably experienced and immediately available to jump in and get hands-on with all aspects of payroll. Your professional and friendly approach will see you liaising with site-managers across the country, assisting the team in their day-to-day payroll needs.

For the longer opportunity in this role, leadership experience is desirable. The permanent position which will have you managing a small team, running an implementation project and managing the ongoing compliance and integrity of the payroll.
