About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance/Asset Management Officer to join our team based in our Newcastle West Head Office on a permanent full time basis.
Reporting to the Chief Assets Officer, the Asset Management Officer plays a key role in the delivery of planned and responsive maintenance works ensuring that Home in Place properties are fit for purpose and meet Home in Place asset standards.
To be successful in this role, you will possess well-rounded technical skills to produce efficient and accurate work on a day to day basis including:
- Ensuring maintenance activities are planned and scheduled in line with relevant time frames
- Allocating works for internal trades and subcontractors, including performance monitoring
- Reviewing job costings, invoices and documentation to ensure accuracy
- Processing job variations
- Issuing invoices on completion of jobs
About You
- Previous experience in scheduling trades is desirable
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex and high-volume environment
- Excellent prioritisation, time management and resource allocation abilities
- Results focused with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve a successful outcome
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
