The role

The role will have oversight for the commissioning of health services for new capital infrastructure builds and lead and undertake the ongoing management of the service agreement/s for the Mater Health Service. It will also take responsibility for managing relationships, coordination, communications, and purchasing/commissioning work for specific projects (including Mater Hospital Springfield Stage 2).

The successful person

You will have:

• Extensive management and organisational experience with a proven record of achievement at a senior level (preferably clinical) in a large, complex, decentralised healthcare organisation.
• In depth understanding of the health system including the key interfaces, service feeders and demand influencers for existing services and the potential changes resulting from new facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex project and health service information and intelligently apply this to the monitoring, management, reporting and successful delivery of strategic projects.
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills at a senior level and achievements in cultivating productive working relationships, partnerships and teamwork.
• Demonstrated high level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare complex reports, discussion papers, cabinet budget review committee submissions (CBRC), business cases and presentations related to commissioning projects.
• Leadership and management of staff in line with quality human resource management practices, including experience in effective change management skills.service delivery organisation.
