The role

You will lead and negotiate the ongoing management of the service agreements for a designated cluster of Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), by ensuring the services purchased are being delivered in accordance with the service agreement, the HHS manages activity to achieve the requirements and performance standards identified in the service agreement, and services are provided to patients within the set time limits.

The successful person

You will have:

  • Extensive management and organisational experience with a proven record of achievement at a senior level (preferably clinical) in a large, complex, decentralised service delivery organisation.
  • Ability to analyse, interrogate and interpret complex data, detect emerging trends and reconcile different data from different sources.
  • Ability to communicate to the highest standards, producing reports, preparing and delivering presentations and verbal communications on topics which are complex and contentious to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide a variety of stakeholders with advice and guidance on emerging initiatives, strategies and issues in relation to purchasing, healthcare funding and performance management.
  • Knowledge of strategic purchasing priorities and national/state performance requirements.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills at a senior level and achievements in cultivating productive working relationships, partnerships and teamwork.
  • Leadership and management of staff in line with quality human resource management practices, including experience in effective change management skills.
