Trade Assistant Positions Available – Trailer Workshop & New Truck Preparation

RGM Maintenance Pty Ltd is seeking full-time Trade Assistants to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. We have positions available in both our trailer workshop and our new truck preparation area. In this hands-on role, you will provide essential support to our skilled tradespeople, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our automotive maintenance and repair services.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting tradespeople with various tasks, including preparing work areas, gathering tools and materials, and cleaning and maintaining equipment
• Performing basic maintenance and repair work under the supervision of qualified technicians
• Ensuring the workshop and preparation areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
• Adhering to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for:

• Some previous experience in a trade or maintenance role, preferably in the automotive industry
• Experience with trailer repairs (e.g., brake, suspension, or structural repairs) is highly desirable
• Experience with accessory fitouts (e.g., installation of additional components or customizations) will be highly regarded
• Experience in light fabrication (e.g., welding, cutting, or modifying metal components) is an advantage
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills
• A current driver’s license
