About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Vehicle Trade Assistant to join our team at Collins Adelaide' in Wingfield, South Australia. As a full-time team member, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced mechanics in the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting mechanics with the diagnosis, service and repair of heavy vehicles.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations and component replacements
• Identifying and reporting any faults or issues with vehicles to the lead mechanic or Supervisor
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment to ensure efficiency and safety
• Participating in team meetings and training sessions to continually develop your skills

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or in a similar automotive support role
• Strong practical skills and attention to detail when working on vehicles
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities to liaise with mechanics
• A keen interest in the automotive industry and a commitment to ongoing learning
