Trade Sales Assistant – Join Our Team!

Are you a people person with a knack for sales and customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, we want you to be the face of our business as a Trade Sales Assistant!

In this role, you’ll play a key part in our internal sales team, working closely with customers, suppliers, and team members to ensure smooth operations and outstanding service. You’ll be the go-to person for product advice, order fulfilment, stock management, and building strong customer relationships.

Reporting directly to the Harper Timber Branch Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

-Provide top-notch customer service and expert advice on our products and services
-Manage and coordinate eCommerce order fulfillment
-Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
-Liaise with suppliers to ensure seamless stock flow
-Prepare and follow up on customer quotes, ensuring timely order delivery
-Regularly communicate with the Trade Hub & Mona Vale Trade Manager
-Keep customers informed on order statuses, including backorders
-Track and report on all quotations in weekly meetings with the Branch Manager
-Manage stock levels efficiently to minimise shrinkage and stock loss
-Maintain accurate product information and ensure correct stock levels
-Perform stock replenishment when needed
-Uphold Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards and maintain a tidy work environment
-Ensure administrative processes are followed correctly

What You Bring:

-A customer-first approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
-Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving -Experience in building supplies, trade sales, or a similar industry is highly advantageous
