About the role

We are searching for a seasoned senior change manager, passionate about digital transformation, who'll play a pivotal role in driving staff engagement and adoption over the life of a large digital transformation program.

We are seeking an experienced change manager to analyse, design and enable complex organisational change in our Student Lifecycle (CRM) Program. You'll be key to equipping our staff to enhance student experience and service delivery through the successful implementation of an advanced student CRM (Salesforce). By doing so, you'll contribute to the realisation of Macquarie University's vision for comprehensive student engagement and service delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our university's digital transformation journey.

The Student CRM Program is delivering a cutting-edge student CRM (Salesforce) to achieve holistic student engagement and service delivery, enabling the University to:

  • Provide a unified, 360-degree view of each student for improved engagement (while ensuring privacy protection).
  • Transform service delivery to enhance student experience and connection with the University by providing personalised services to support students throughout their journey.
  • Implement a technology platform adaptable to evolving University needs, fostering individualised student interaction.
  • Acquire insights and analytics across the student journey, refining student services and experiences.
  • Phase out legacy systems.

You will report directly to the Project Manager, to design and implement a comprehensive approach to organisational change, engaging with, and supporting our staff community from senior leaders to our front-line teams. You'll be part of a multi-discipline project team all working to ensure we deliver tangible value to our staff and students.

Digital Transformation is one of the six fundamental commitments of the University Operating Plan: to embrace emerging technologies to better connect, engage, and collaborate. The core focus of the University's Digital Transformation Roadmap and Strategy is enabling the objectives of Students First through five key focus areas, seeking to drive excellent experiences and outcomes in every dimension of students' interactions with the University.

This role will be based at Macquarie University Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde, and the fixed term contract ends 31 December 2026.

About You

You'll be a self-starting individual with excellent work organisation and time management skills and ability to remain resilient when under pressure. You will have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail and be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment, applying a methodical and consultative approach in your work, and be motivated to deliver work outputs that are of a consistent high quality.

How to apply
Please apply online and attach your resume and a separate cover letter that outlines how you meet the selection criteria below:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading organisational change for transformation programs.
  • A proven track record of successfully realising change objectives in complex organisational structures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders across the University, including those at senior management levels.
  • Sophisticated analytical skills to discern change points, stakeholder needs and sentiment.
  • Adeptness in gauging organisational readiness and identifying risks (along with appropriate mitigations) to facilitate change implementation.
  • Repeated experience in working on projects which include external vendors, consultants, Business Analysts, Testers and Solution Architects.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, while sustaining deadlines.
  • Strong self-management skills to work autonomously while also collaborating with fellow members of the change team to ensure alignment across the program
