About the role
We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to lead the people-centric aspects of our new IT health solutions at our university hospital. This is a pivotal role for someone who can drive adoption and embed new ways of working across our diverse clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient care through innovative digital solutions.

Reporting to the Senior IT Operating Model Manager, the Change Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive change management plans to support the successful implementation of our IT health solutions. You will work closely with project teams, clinical leaders, and stakeholders across the organization to ensure seamless adoption and sustainable change.

Key areas of responsibilities will be:
Change Strategy Development and Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management plans that address the people, process, and technology aspects of the transformation.
  • Conduct thorough impact assessments and stakeholder analyses to identify potential barriers and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the design and implementation of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project timelines.

New Ways of Working Implementation

  • Lead the development and implementation of new workflows and processes to support the adoption of the IT health solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams in adapting to new ways of working and embedding them into daily practice.
  • Measure the success of the new ways of working and provide feedback to the project teams.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key hospital stakeholders at all levels, including clinicians, administrators, and IT personnel.
  • Develop and deliver clear, consistent, and engaging communication plans to inform and educate stakeholders about the changes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and focus groups to gather feedback and address concerns.

Training and Education

  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to equip staff with the knowledge and skills required to effectively use the new IT health solutions.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including user guides, online tutorials, and job aids.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Track and measure the effectiveness of change management activities, using key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and address any resistance or challenges to change.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the progress of change initiatives.

About You

You bring a strategic mindset supported with a delivery focus which is coupled with a strong track record in leading complex IT projects within healthcare or related environments. You will be a self-starting individual with excellent work organisation, time management skills and ability to work under pressure. You will have strong analytical skills, an eye for detail and be able to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum 6 years plus proven experience as a Change Manager, with a strong track record of successfully leading multiple technology-driven change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing new ways of working to drive operational agility is essential for this position.
  • Experience leading the change management aspects of multiple IT projects is required.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Highly regarded: Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Relevant change certifications (e.g., PROSCI, CCMP) are desirable.
