About the role

Focoze Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Gardener/Caretaker to join our team based in Taree, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the grounds and gardens of our client's property, ensuring a well-manicured and visually appealing outdoor environment.

What you'll be doing

• Performing regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, edging, and planting
• Pruning and shaping trees, shrubs, and hedges to maintain their aesthetic appeal
• Watering and fertilising plants as needed to keep them healthy and thriving
• Identifying and addressing any pest or disease issues in the garden
• Assisting with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
• Performing light caretaker duties, such as locking up the property, monitoring security, and responding to any issues that arise
• Ensuring the proper disposal of garden waste and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Chopping fire wood
• keeping walking tracks maintained

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, or a similar outdoor maintenance role
• Knowledge plant care, and garden maintenance techniques
• Familiarity with the use and maintenance of gardening equipment and tools
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to ensure high-quality results
• A keen eye for aesthetics and creating your own work schedule
• A positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and the physical stamina to perform manual tasks
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the property owner
