About The Role:

We are looking for a physically fit, self-motivated, and reliable gardener to assist in maintaining and improving the Airport's landside precinct. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about gardening and landscaping, with a strong focus on presentation and upkeep. The successful applicant will be provided with uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The key areas of responsibility include:

• Mowing, whipper snipping, and general gardening duties
• Hedging and trimming of plants and trees
• Green waste collection and removal
• Weed, pest, and disease control and identification
• Maintain and operate gardening tools and equipment
• Other duties as required to meet the company's objectives

The above list in not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.

Skills and Experience

• Similar experience in a previous role
• Valid driver's license (Class C license preferred but not essential)
• Must be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Must be competent to use equipment such as Zero-turn ride on mowers, whipper snipper, chainsaws, hedgers and power tools.
• Experience with small concreting jobs
• Excellent work ethic and motivation
• Reliable and flexible

Physical Requirements

• While performing the functions of this job, you will be required at times to lift, move and carry heavy objects, ascend or descend ladders etc.
• It is a pre-requisite for this role that the successful candidate undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen in accordance with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations.
