About the Role

Based in our National Service Centre located in South Bank, we have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our team.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to be part of the Accounts Payable team working on one or more of the Synergy companies as well as and various administration duties associated with this.

You will have significant Account Payable experience as well all-round administration and the ability to deliver quality and timely assistance across various areas of the business. This is a diverse position with a key part of the role building strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Use of Accounts Payable Automation/OCR Tools (Redmap) etc and managing document exceptions
  • Accounts Payable Processing, linking to Purchase Orders and Direct GL Allocations
  • Payment Run planning , recording and ABA creation
  • Processing of Expense claims in conjunction with Paper forms and/or expense management tool
  • Administration of the accounts mailbox(s)
  • Maintaining Supplier Account/Records (Pronto)
  • Supplier Account and Statement Reconciliations
  • Administration related tasks (mail, filing, general administration assistance)
  • Liaise with Suppliers
  • Liase with Store Managers, Finance and Purchasing Teams
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required incl assisting finance teams as required

About You

For this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous accounts payable experience - min 2 years
  • Experience in a high-volume accounts' payable role
  • Pronto ERP experience highly regarded, but not essential
  • Experience in using Redmap AP Automation Tool or similar (desirable)
  • Experience in the use and administration of an expense management tool (desirable)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word - Intermediate)
  • Ability to prioritise, highly productive
  • Strong general administration skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to review and write reports
