STEAMPUNK Surfers Paradise is seeking a highly motivated hands on Sous Chef/Kitchen manager.

This position is ideal for someone wishing to further their kitchen leadership skills and work well as confident team player with the existing kitchen crew.

Steampunk Surfers Paradise is an extremely busy high profile restaurant located in the heart of Surfers Paradise open 7 days from 12pm until late.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Cook and prepare a variety of dishes according to menu and recipe guides
• Create specialty dishes based on your creative flair
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation areas
• Maintain food stock and prep levels and re-order when appropriate
• Implement food safety best practices Liaise with management and facility staff
• Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members enabling them to meet their full potential

Skills and Experience required

• At least 1 year of related experience
• Have the ability to work nights & weekends
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Have passion for working with food in a hands on capacity
• Work well under pressure
• Confidently run a service un-supervised
