Sous Chef- Full time

Pub Style Venue | Melbournes Northern Suburbs

I am seeking a seasoned, hands-on Sous Chef to join a vibrant, fast-paced pub kitchen team. This role will suit an experienced chef with leadership skills and the ability to manage service effectively in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

The Role:

• Overseeing service
• Managing monthly stocktake
• Ensuring smooth daily operations
• Ordering
• Working off established supply process
• Cooking and working all sections of the kitchen including pass
• Working with Head Chef and Food and Beverage Manager
• Maintain quality
• Collaborative team environment with a close-knit, experienced crew
• Training and development
• Note: This role involves stepping into a well-established team dynamic.

About You:

• You're a senior chef with proven leadership experience and a strong track record managing busy kitchens.
• You can manage service under pressure and thrive in a fast-moving pub kitchen environment.
• Menu design/creation or rostering experience is not required for this role.
• You understand the importance of team dynamics, clear communication, and leading by example.
