Position: Full-Time Chef (ANZSCO Code: 351311)

Location: Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia

Salary: Competitive annual salary of AUD 75,000 to 85,000 OR FROM $75,000 plus superannuation

Green Zebra Restaurant & Bar in Parrearra, Queensland is seeking passionate Chefs to join our vibrant team. We are offering FULL-TIME positions, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a dynamic hospitality environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

Menu Planning: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and develop seasonal menus that reflect our modern Mediterranean focus.

Prepare and Plan: Preparation and planning meals on our diverse menu including salads and sides, small plates, mains, desserts and larger to share options.

Cost Management: Estimate food and labour costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Quality Control: Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment, including training on cooking procedures.

Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of fresh produce and other essentials.

Hygiene and Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce strict hygiene and safety protocols in line with industry regulations.

Culinary Innovation: Stay abreast of culinary trends and introduce new techniques and dishes to enhance our menu offerings.

What We're Looking For:

• A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.

• A minimum of three years of experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality environment, preferably within a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Proficiency in various cooking techniques and an understanding of Mediterranean cuisine.

• Excellent time management and multitasking skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

• Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences

• Current Food Safety Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one AND ANY OTHER RQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
