Duties and Tasks

  • Preparing and baking a wide variety of regular and gluten free cakes, such as Graham special, chocolate mousse, black forest etc following traditional and modern recipes
  • Creating different dessert flans such as lemon, passionfruit, pecan etc with short bread base
  • Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings to ensure the presentation will be attractive and exciting
  • Preparing and baking different breads
  • Complying with Australian and New Zealand Food Act, initiatives and legislation
  • Abiding by all Work Place Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations at all times
  • Other duties as required by the business in the role of Cook

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • At least certificate III n commercial cookery or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
