Our Venue:
To support the high volume of venues we maintain a strong production kitchen in Marrickville that produces different menu's and cuisines, using the freshest ingredients and technical skills that helps develop and grow our team.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Pastry Chef to join our culinary team, focusing on the production of high-quality pastry items. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the consistent production and exceptional quality of all pastries and desserts across our multiple venues. You will oversee the production in Marrickville, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail and a passion for excellence. This is a Monday-Friday role with flexibility to work occasionally on nights or weekends to see the end product at events.

Main Duties:

  • Oversee the production kitchen in Marrickville, ensuring efficient and consistent production of all pastry items.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative and seasonal pastry & dessert menu items.
  • Train and mentor junior staff to maintain excellence in product quality and consistency.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed, managing costs and minimising waste.
  • On occasion work in the kitchen during events to ensure product quality and presentation.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a skilled and creative senior chef, in menu design and food styling.
  • Chef experience across different venues, including social and corporate, small and high volume, with technical and detailed menu items.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to train and develop kitchen staff.
  • Strong focus on quality control and consistency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
