Position: Accounts Officer

Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Company Description: Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing industry, operating for over 50 years and looking for someone to join their small and dynamic finance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bank Reconciliations
• Processing Bank Transactions
• Checking Sales with Correct Job Codes
• Credit Card Payment Processing
• Vendor Setup in Payment Platforms and Invoicing
• Invoicing in SAP Ariba Platform
• Preparation of Debtor Ageing Reports and Customer Follow-Up Involving Cash Collection
• Preparation of Sales Analysis Reports
• Preparation of Rental Credit Calculations
• Reconciliation of Intercompany Accounts - Parent Company Reconciliations
• Responsible for Sales Agent Commission Calculations for Australia
• Supporting Accounts Payable Invoice Processing, Entering, and Coding in SAP and MYOB
• Supporting Prepayment Schedule Maintenance & Monthly Journals
• Office Stationery and Staff Amenity Control
• Preparation of Tool Sales Reports
• Basic General Journal Processing in SAP and MYOB
• Any other Finance tasks as required by the Finance Manager

Education/Experience Required:

• 1-5 years of experience in a similar role
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Time management skills - ability to prioritise tasks
• Experience with financial accounting software - SAP and MYOB is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills - data analysis and report preparation in Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude
• Team and growth mindset with the ability to enhance and improve processes
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, able to communicate at all levels
• May require occasional overtime/flexibility for deadlines or meetings with shareholders/group finance teams in the USA.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Predominantly sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work
• Must be able to work in an open-plan environment
