The Role
A rapidly growing leader in luxury retirement living is seeking an experienced Village Manager to take charge of a thriving community in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proactive leader to oversee day-to-day operations, drive financial performance, and foster a strong sense of community. Reporting to the Directors, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring residents enjoy a high-quality lifestyle while managing the village’s operations with professionalism and care.

The Client
Our client is a respected and innovative leader in the luxury retirement living sector, operating as both a developer and operator in South-East Queensland. With a strong focus on excellence, community engagement, and resident well-being, they offer a supportive and positive workplace where your leadership will make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the village, ensuring a well-managed, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, service providers, and community groups.
  • Manage village finances, including budgeting, expenditure control, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with retirement village legislation, workplace health & safety policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors to uphold village presentation and functionality.
  • Work alongside the sales team to ensure village presentation is of the highest standard.
  • Attend Residents’ Committee meetings and actively engage with the community to support their needs.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in village management, property management, or community leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen with budget management experience.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset and leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (or a willingness to learn).
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
