A fantastic opportunity has become available for an ambitious and highly motivated person to join our Wagga team as a Customer Service/Trade Counter assistant.
About the role
Reporting to the Wagga Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing the trade counter, including actively dealing with clients and managing accounts.
Responsibilities
- Serve at the trade counter, in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.
- Take responsibility for the entire counter service process, from order taking to picking orders.
- Taking customer enquiries that require quotes, and either actioning, or coordinating with the branch manager to get a quote done promptly.
- Develop strong relationships with customers.
- Make the required amount of phone calls and other contact with customers to ensure enquires are answered promptly and professionally.
- Ensure service quality is maintained for customers in all areas.
- Actively engage in seeking out new business from both existing and new customers by always looking for cross sell and up sell opportunities.
- Working closely with other team members in the branch to achieve branch budget
- Constantly look to grow counter sales through engaging new clients, and increasing share of wallet on existing business.
- Take responsibility for quotations, proposals and receiving orders where needed.
- Ensuring all quotes and customer complaints are followed through to successful resolution.
- Approving and setting contract pricing for customers in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
- Ensure service quality is maintained for customers.
- Continually looking to learn and develop.

- An organised person who is able to manage themselves and their time well
- An enthusiastic and self-motivated person who won't require micro management
- Previous industry or job role experience would be ideal, but not essential
- An open mind and willingness to improve and learn
- Strong communication skills that enable you to effectively deal with different people from various levels within organisations.
- A problem solver with a positive "can do" attitude.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS office suite
- A current drivers license
