Mark Sheppard Bathrooms & Renovations (MSBR) is Canberra’s leading renovator specialising in bespoke, high-end bathrooms, laundries and kitchens. We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join the team on a full-time basis. This is an amazing opportunity who is looking to work on some of the most beautiful renovations happening across the region.

The Job

• Undertake site evaluations, check measures and space planning
• Conduct in-home client consultations, presentations and oversee product selections
• Prepare design concepts, briefs and final plans including detailed electrical plans
• Liaising with suppliers, trades, consultants and clients
• Researching, specifications and procurement of fixtures, fittings, furnishings and materials
• Creating online content on social media platforms

About You

To be considered for this role you must have a natural flair for design while confident in working both in a team environment and autonomously when required. In addition:

• Hold a qualification in interior design
• Outstanding communication skills, focused on creating an amazing customer experience
• Sales/consultation experience in the selections process
• Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail and an ability to work to strict deadlines
• Proficient in using drafting software including Sketchup, Live Home 3D Pro, Google Suite, Trello and general project management software (desirable)
• Knowledge of current Australia Standards, Building codes and inspections regulations across ACT and NSW
• Proficient in calculating and measuring to determine design details accurately and precisely including custom joinery.
