Your role and impact:

At Good Sammy, we believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Our retail stores not only offer hidden gem products but also provide meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities develop new skills and build confidence in the workplace.

As the 2IC Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and supporting our employees, including those with disabilities. Your role will involve creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture, providing training and mentorship, and ensuring that all team members can grow and succeed.

Weekly hours of work: Mon/Tue/Wed/Thurs 8:45am – 5:15pm and Sun 11:45am – 4:45pm

What you need to make a difference:

To make an impact at Good Sammy, you will bring along with you your previous experiences you have gathered in retail, having a strong understanding of store operations. Proactively managing stock selection, ordering frequency, stock rotation, sales, promotions, pricing, merchandising, timesheets, rostering, store presentation, waste management, information technology and recycling.

You will have a proven commitment to inclusivity and supporting individuals with disabilities whilst possessing excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Additionally, strong organisational and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
