About the Role
As a Food Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious and enjoyable meals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Meal Preparation: Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Dining Experience: Set up and maintain a welcoming dining environment, enhancing the mealtime experience.
- Hygiene Standards: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the culinary team to prepare and serve meals that meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
- Ensure the dining areas are clean, organized, and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere for residents.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage and handling of food items.
- Assist in inventory management, monitoring stock levels, and reporting needs for replenishment.
- Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, addressing any dietary concerns or special requests.
What We’re Looking For
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional service.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills to interact with residents and team members.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of the kitchen and dining services.
- Experience: Previous experience in food services or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Availability: Part-time position: 30-75 hrs/fortnight, with shifts available Monday to Sunday.
Requirements
- A current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
