Your New Role!

The Audio-Visual Engineer is responsible for the lifecycle management of audio-visual installations at Murdoch University venues. The AV Engineer works in consultation with the AV team to ensure the selection and installation of AV equipment aligns with Murdoch University's standards.

Your key responsibilities will include -

• Overseeing the selection, procurement and installation of AV equipment, by collaborating with external AV vendors and service providers, University services, clients and the internal AV team.
• Actively evaluate University venues to identify AV technology gaps and opportunities; develop recommendations to enhance AV capabilities.
• Create, collate and maintain detailed audio-visual systems documentation, including design drawings, technical configurations, installation manuals and user guides.
• Lead the lifecycle management and asset management of audio-visual installations and venues.
• Supervise audio-visual technicians in the absence of the Senior audio-visual technician.
• Assist with on site and remote support for technical incidents.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) position attracts a remuneration of $87,000 - $94,000 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:

• Three or more years of experience in a similar role.
• Comprehensive understanding and of audio-visual technologies installed and used in a large enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience in the installation, management and configuration of complex audio-visual technology.
• Demonstrated ability in sustaining vendor relations.
• High level of competency in interpersonal and customer directed communications.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Current "C" Class License

Desirable

• Tertiary degree or equivalent qualification in Audio Visual Production or related fields.
• ITIL Certification
• Experience with Agile ways of working.
