About the role

Join the team at FMR Building + Construction and it's subsidiary Fox Metal Roofing as an Industrial/Commercial Roofing Supervisor. The role is based in Bibra Lake, however there is a strong FIFO component to the role. This is a full-time position where you will oversee the successful and safe delivery of industrial and commercial roofing projects. With your extensive experience in the construction industry, you will ensure the quality of work and lead teams of skilled tradespeople to meet project timelines and client expectations.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and oversee a team of tradespeople to deliver high-quality projects on schedule
• Coordinate and plan daily work activities to optimise workforce and equipment utilisation
• Monitor workplace health and safety to ensure compliance with regulations
• Implement quality control measures to maintain exceptional standards of workmanship
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and resolve any issues
• Provide on-site training and mentoring to upskill the roofing team
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Substantial experience as an industrial/commercial roofing supervisor or foreperson.
• In-depth knowledge of various roofing systems, materials and installation techniques
• Strong leadership and people management skills to effectively coordinate and motivate a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and building plans
• Comprehensive understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices
• Effective communication and management skills
