The Senior Social Worker (domestic, family and sexual violence) will be located at the Royal Darwin Hospital and will be based within the hospital’s Emergency Department. The role will priorities the provision of social work services to victim survivors of domestic, family and sexual violence. The role will require highly developed skills in completing social work psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, develop safety plans, and identify appropriate referral pathways, to ensure safe patient discharge destinations and provide a supportive patient centred response. This role will work to increase the ability of the Hospital to respond to domestic, family and sexual violence through the provision of staff supervision and education and the implementation of relevant service improvements The position will report to the Social Work Department Manager and work within a multidisciplinary team. The role is a shift work role which requires the applicant to work a rotating morning and afternoon shift pattern between the hours of 08:00 and 21:51, with weekend work required.
