Venue Manager - Avoca Beach

Who are we?

The Avoca Beach Hotel is comprised of 77 rooms, villas and apartments, three function rooms, as well as Saltwater Bar & Bistro with a large outdoor deck, Sports Bar, drive through bottle shop, TAB facilities, EGM's and Treetops Cafe.

The opportunity

We are currently seeking a Venue Manager to focus on the daily operations of Saltwater Bar & Bistro, Sports Bar, EGM's and Bottle Shop. A demonstrable track record in hospitality management together with strong business acumen and good organisational & communication skills are a must.

The successful applicant will be able to manage all day-to-day operations of the pub business in a professional manner. We are looking for someone with a results driven attitude and plenty of motivation to continue the development of the hotel business with a reputation for great food and service.

You will be responsible for

Staff Management - Rostering, Staff development and performance management
Management of Entertainment, BOH & Security functions
Gaming - TAB, Keno, Gaming Machines
Management of Inventory levels, Ordering and COGS

Updating and implementing Policies and Procedures in close consultation with the management team and owners.

The position will report directly to the Owners. The role will be assisted by a number of permanent and casual staff members.

You have a demonstrable interest in delivering superior food and drink offerings and experiences.

You are hands on and enjoy being involved in day to day operations;

You are systems savvy, computer literate and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You are passionate, business savvy and hard-working
