About the role

As the Assistant Venue Manager at Narellan Hotel, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel. This full-time position will see you collaborating closely with the Venue Manager to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the hotel, from customer service and staff management to financial reporting and strategic planning.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting the Venue Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, including food and beverage standards, Venue compliance, Staff training and development and building team culture.
  • Managing and motivating a team of hospitality professionals to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Implementing and enforcing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance
  • Coordinating and overseeing special events, functions, and promotions

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Assistant Venue Manager or Venue Management role within the hospitality industry. Cocktail experience would be great
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a great attitude and culture
  • Proficient in financial management, POS and Gaming Systems
  • Gaming machine experience essential. RCG required & ARCG preferred
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
