Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Mechanical & Building Maintenance Professional to join our team.

The Position:

This is a permanent, full-time position. The successful applicant will be responsible for the repairs, maintenance and modification to our hire and service fleet, along with servicing, maintenance and installation of works associated with our site portable amenities both within our branch and on various customer sites.

As part of this position, you will:

• Ensure that portable buildings and amenities are assembled in accordance with the Production Schedule and are complaint to relevant Australian building codes
• Ensure all portable building installations are completed on time, per specifications and are complaint to relevant Australian building codes
• Carry out repairs, maintenance and modifications to our hire fleet of fencing, buildings and portable toilets
• Complete non-statutory repairs, maintenance and modifications to our service vehicle fleet
• Carry out inspections, maintenance and repairs of toilets and portable buildings, which are on hire at customer sites
• Assist in resolving any service issues with hire items on site and ensure accurate recording of asset numbers for the exchange items
• Build and maintain strong working relations with key suppliers, contractors and customers
• Ensure all required paperwork and data entry is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
• Work with the operations team to meet operational needs

During peak periods, there may be the requirement to work weekends and/or after hours, or assist other departments.

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

• Trade or Maintenance background;
• Hold a current Australian Drivers licence;
• Maintain a good driving record;
• Hold a Construction Induction card (white card);
• A strong focus on safety and safe work practices;
• Ability to solve problems and make correct decisions;
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management and customers; and
• Provide outstanding customer service.

The following will be highly regarded

• Experience welding aluminium and steel;
• Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights licences;
• MR or HR drivers licences;
• Experience within the hire industry;
• A good level of physical fitness; and
• Willingness to learn new technology.
