About the Role:
The Administration Support Officer contributes to the effective operations of the Community Safety team by providing general administrative support and exceptional, professional customer service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Manager Community Safety in the development and implementation of procedures including documentation and associated record keeping.
- Maintain databases and relevant files for Building, Environmental Health, Local Laws and Animal Management.
- Maintain health systems, including all required processes, in accordance with all statutory, industrial and Council policy and procedural requirements.
- Support the Community Safety and Compliance officers in providing Statutory Services as required.
- Assist with Council departments on internal referral and general administrative matters relating to various Statutory Services applications, permits, fees and property records.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- An ability to operate various software packages and databases including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Local Government functions, legislation and regulations relevant to the position.
- The ability to manage time and to plan and organise own workload.
- Basic knowledge of personnel practices and an ability to provide employees under their supervision with the on-the- job training and guidance if required.
