Domestic Violence Workers - Bathurst

About the Role
As a Family and Domestic Violence (DFV) worker you will be on the front line, providing critical support to women and children facing crisis situations. Your work will involve both direct client support and systemic advocacy within the community to ensure holistic pathways to safety and long-term stability.
In this role you will:
- Conduct intakes, eligibility assessments, DFV assessments and ensure accurate date recording
- Provide on-site support for women and children in crisis and transitional accommodation
- Deliver direct case management, helping clients to develop case plans and work towards their goals
- Offer child centred support, trauma informed care and facilitate referrals to specialist children’s services
- Use a person centred approach that is culturally safe and aligned with best practices
- Work collaboratively with community networks to support women and children escaping DFV and at risk of homelessness
- Deliver DFV community workshops withing the Bathurst and Orange communities (training provided)
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated professionals with:
- Experience in DFV support services, social work or crisis accommodation or a related area
- A strong understanding of trauma informed care, child centred practices and culturally safe service delivery
- Experience in case management, crisis intervention and safety planning
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Relevant qualifications in community services, social work or a related field OR Equivalent experience
- You will also need to have a wwcc, police check and driver’s license
