We are currently seeking a Administrative Assistant to join our team to provide administrative support.

Dawson Electric have been in business since 2007 and have an excellent reputation. We stand out from our competitors due to our outstanding customer service and 'gentlemen' tradies. Dawson Electric is a leading electrical services provider known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and a strong customer-centric approach. Our current team is lead by husband and wife team Kristine and Dylan. Currently we have 6 full-time electricians and 3 apprentices, as well as 4 office staff.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an Administrative Assistant at Dawson Electric, you will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support to our team. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to learn quickly. If you are motivated, organised, and eager to be a part of a dynamic work environment, this position is perfect for you.

Approximately 4 hours per day Monday-Friday

Duties:

  • Respond to client queries in a timely, professional and effective manner via face to face, email and over the phone.
  • Undertake prioritisation of incoming jobs to ensure maximisation of efficiency and timelines.
  • Assist Executive with weekly and monthly reporting and data analysis.
  • Contribute to the overall Occupational Health and Safety of the Office and Colleagues.
  • Create and post regular social media posts
  • Support all Staff and Tradesmen by:
  • Answering and directing phone calls to relevant staff
  • Scheduling/ updating jobs as required and notifying electricians of changes.
  • Ensuring all information of job sheets is complete and accurate
  • Keeping track of compliance dates and updating systems as necessary
  • Taking notes and minutes in meetings
  • Ordering and taking stock of office supplies
  • Ensuring office equipment is working and organising repairs
  • Assisting with the improvement of administrative processes

    Skills
    Demonstrated experience in office or customer service environment.
    Demonstrated ability to communicate openly and effectively with a broad range of people.
    Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise workload.
    Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
    Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
