Who You Are

You are a proactive, solution orientated PM Operations manager who is eager to get their hands dirty and inspire the people around them - leading by example. You are honest and a highly ethical person who works with people to enable them to grow, building solid processes and reporting lines alongside the WA Site Manager. With previous experience in FMCG and Cold Chain - You are bringing in your experience paired with a HANDS-ON work ethic and solution driven mind ready to set and hit your KPI’s.

The Opportunity

  • Alongside the WA Site Manager - managing temperature-controlled DC-operations day to day – Ensuring cost efficient operations across daily load outs, pick pack, scan/sort for dispatch and general operations of the WA DC
  • Delivering a safe and productive work environment for state operations practices to comply with all company/ legislative policies and procedures (including Fatigue management, WH&S and HACCP guidelines)
  • Working towards KPI's and targets within the agreed benchmarks and time frames
  • Executing and rolling out subsequent team KPIs in- and out-side the DC. Creating a process driven environment with high accountability and ownership
  • coordinating workforce effectively to ensure adequate and cost-effective resourcing, workforce headcount, absenteeism, leave utilization and performance
  • Ensure the warehouse and associated vehicles and tools are maintained to standard
  • Assisting the Site Manager – overseeing all Stock Control, Replenishing and Supply Chain objectives
  • Building and living a process driven culture – elevating the team around you

Skills/Background

  • 2-5 years' experience within Supply Chain/Logistics, preferably in FMCG or Chilled Food
  • Existing knowledge of Supply Chain Operations with a background in labour planning, cost management and improvement opportunities
  • Previous experience in logistics/transport industry is a must
  • Previous knowledge of warehouse operations within a 3PL environment
  • 2 + years' managing teams with strong leadership experience and proven success in leadership roles
  • Solid people management skills with the ability to influence across a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders
  • A hands on leading by example mind-set with a strong attention to detail, a positive can-do attitude, working as part of a team.
  • Strong operational skills to manage and collaborate with all stakeholders effectively
  • Previous experience with WMS is a plus
  • Have a thorough understanding of safety and compliance (Fatigue Management, WH&S, HACCP)
  • Forklift license is a must have as the role is HANDS-ON
  • Must be Tech Savvy and computer literate - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with analytical programs is must
