About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the demolition business, encompassing P&L responsibility, operations, compliance, sales, and administration. While the majority of this role will be office-based, occasional travel to sites will be required. This is a leadership position requiring a strategic thinker with exceptional business acumen and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall performance of the demolition business, with full P&L responsibility.
• Oversee and manage all operational aspects of demolition projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Ensure strict adherence to all legislative requirements, including health and safety regulations, the demolition code of practice, and waste disposal guidelines.
• Drive sales and business development initiatives to secure new projects and expand market share.
• Manage and mentor a team of personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee all administrative functions, including documentation, record keeping, reporting, and financial management.
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software for business management and communication.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated business and people management experience, including P&L responsibility.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislative requirements, including health and safety, demolition code of practice, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with waste facilities and waste disposal management.
• Strong sales and business development skills.
• Excellent financial and administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with construction management software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically and develop business plans.
