Business Development Manager – Power Transmission Solutions

The Company:

With a strong market presence, they provide innovative and reliable solutions across industries such as mining, food and beverage, construction, and general industrial applications.

The Role:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth and enhance customer service in Brisbane. This role is heavily focused on managing service contracts, spare parts sales, and after-sales support to ensure customers receive the best ongoing maintenance and technical assistance. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve customers' operational efficiency by offering proactive servicing solutions, spare parts recommendations, and tailored technical support. You will work closely with the National Sales Manager and be part of a high-performing team dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, acting as their trusted technical advisor for service and spare parts needs.
  • Develop and manage service contracts to ensure ongoing maintenance and support for customers.
  • Drive spare parts sales by identifying customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
  • Work closely with internal engineering and service teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and service solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess equipment performance and recommend preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to enhance service offerings.

About You:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a service-oriented technical sales role, preferably within gearboxes, motors, drive systems, or power transmission products.
  • Experience in managing service contracts and spare parts sales.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to assess and recommend service solutions.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to delivering outstanding after-sales support.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel across Sydney and occasionally interstate.
