About National Institute of Early Childhood Development
The National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) is the national training institute for early childhood (EC) educators. We were set up by the Ministry of Education in 2019 as part of the Government’s efforts to uplift the EC profession, and raise the quality of early childhood care and education in Singapore. At NIEC, we offer a comprehensive suite of courses designed to meet the diverse needs of early childhood educators at all career stages. Our dedicated faculty, who are themselves experienced educators, are committed to ongoing professional development. We partner with ECDA and industry leaders to stay updated on sector trends and ensure our programmes remain relevant.
