We are looking for a strategic and experienced leader to drive the City’s project delivery, engineering services and infrastructure programs, delivering outcomes that shape the future of our community. This role is fixed term for 5 years.
About the Role
- Lead the City’s project delivery function, including oversight of the Project Management Office and major infrastructure programs
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to governance, compliance and stakeholder expectations
- Provide strategic leadership across engineering services, asset management and infrastructure planning
- Drive continuous improvement in project management systems, governance frameworks and asset lifecycle outcomes
- Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team to deliver community infrastructure outcomes
Role Requirements
- Extensive experience in leading complex infrastructure or capital works programs in a senior leadership role
- Strong expertise in project governance, procurement, contract administration and financial management
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, performance and competing priorities
- Sound knowledge of engineering governance and asset management principles, including lifecycle planning
- Relevant tertiary qualification and ability to meet compliance requirements (licence, police clearance, first aid)

About City of Karratha
The City boasts a comprehensive working local history collection containing maps, plans, documents, photographs, newspapers, ephemera and oral history recordings. These are housed at the Karratha Public Library.
The purpose of Economic Development is to build up the economic capacity of the City of Karratha to improve its economic future and the quality of life for all.
It is a process by which the City will liaise with the public, business, government and not-for-profit sector partners collectively, to create better conditions for economic growth and employment generation.
