As project opportunities continue to expand across multiple sectors, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Specification Sales Manager to join the Sydney team and play a key role in driving project influence across not just New South Wales but Nationally.
About the Role:
Success in this role comes from becoming a trusted technical advisor to architects, engineers, developers, contractors and asset owners throughout the project lifecycle.
Working across the flooring and concrete segments space, you will be responsible for identifying project opportunities early, influencing specifications and providing technical guidance that helps project teams select the most appropriate flooring, concrete protection and waterproofing solutions.
You will work across a diverse range of projects including industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, healthcare developments, education projects, pharmaceutical facilities, food and beverage production environments, retail developments, commercial buildings, automotive facilities, transport infrastructure and civil works.
The role combines specification sales, technical consultation and relationship management, requiring somebody who is equally comfortable presenting to a design team in a boardroom as they are discussing installation methodology with contractors and applicators on site.
Supported by a highly experienced national sales and technical team, you will be responsible for developing specification opportunities, tracking projects through their lifecycle and converting project influence into commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a robust project and specification pipeline Nationally.
Identify opportunities to influence project outcomes during the design and planning phases.
Build strong relationships with architects, consulting engineers, builders, developers, contractors and asset owners.
Provide technical advice and product recommendations across flooring, concrete repair, waterproofing and protection systems.
Deliver presentations, CPD sessions and product education to key stakeholders.
Prepare technical documentation, specifications and supporting project information.
Work closely with applicators and contractors to support successful project delivery.
Utilise Salesforce, Procore and internal systems to manage project activity and reporting.
Collaborate with colleagues across Sydney and the broader national business to maximise project opportunities.
About You:
You may currently be working as a Specification Manager, Technical Sales Representative, Architectural Business Development Manager, Project Consultant or Account Manager within the construction materials sector.
Most importantly, you will understand how construction products are selected, specified and ultimately delivered on live projects.
Experience within one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
Industrial and commercial resin flooring.
Concrete admixtures and concrete technologies.
Concrete repair and remediation systems.
Waterproofing and moisture mitigation solutions.
Architectural coatings and protective coatings.
Joint fillers and floor preparation systems.
Concrete protection and durability solutions.
You will also bring:
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex construction systems.
A consultative and relationship-driven approach to business development.
Confidence engaging with a broad range of stakeholders from architects and engineers through to builders, contractors and applicators.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
The ability to identify opportunities, generate new specifications and build long-term market presence.
Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Procore or similar systems.

The successful candidate will receive:
$120,000 – $140,000 base salary plus superannuation.
Vehicle allowance of approximately $17,000.
