Manager, Aboriginal Strategy & Engagement

About the role

The Strategy & Engagement Team is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our close-knit, collaborative group and lead the implementation of IPART's Aboriginal Outcomes and Impact Strategy.

The Strategy is designed to elevate First Nations voices, support Aboriginal-led outcomes across IPART's regulatory and advisory functions and strengthen our organisational capability and workforce.

In this role, you will:

  • Champion and coordinate targeted internal and external initiatives aligned with the Strategy
  • Hold IPART collectively accountable for delivering on its commitments
  • Work within and alongside project teams to embed Aboriginal perspectives and build capability across the organisation

Reporting to the Director Strategy & Engagement, the role offers regular engagement with the IPART Chair, Chief Executive Officer, Tribunal and Executive Leadership Team.

About you

We are seeking a thoughtful, collaborative and values driven individual who thrives on delivering meaningful outcomes within agreed timeframes and enjoys working with a high degree of autonomy. You'll be someone who quickly grasps new topics and areas and can develop well-considered options to support strategic decision-making.

Experience engaging with First Nations communities and organisations is essential. Degree qualifications or equivalent experience in government policy, economics or regulation would be highly advantageous. Most importantly, a genuine commitment to improving policy and regulatory approaches to achieve better outcomes for First Nations people will be key to your success in this role.

The salary range for this role is $168,273 - $181,215 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
