About the role

NECA Victoria is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Advisor to join their team in South Melbourne, VIC. As a fulltime Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for the electrotechnology industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the company's commitment to occupational health and safety best practices.

What you'll be doing

Providing expert guidance and advice on all health and safety matters to NECA Victoria members

Assisting members with conducting inspections, risk management assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards

Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures and training programs

Investigating incidents and accidents, and recommending corrective actions, including providing emergency management support if and as required

Assisting with the development and maintenance of the company's safety management system

Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations

Delivering engaging and informative health and safety presentations and workshops, developing constructive relationships across the industry

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety, or a related field

Extensive experience working as a Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Advisor/Officer (experience in the electrotechnology or another high-risk industry will be a distinct advantage in securing this role)

Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful health and safety strategies and initiatives

Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities - our ideal applicant is able to demonstrate the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously

Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work with various systems and maintain accurate records and documentation
