The world is changing and as we work towards a more sustainable future, our teams work to create innovative solutions and help our state succeed.

Build a brighter future for WA by creating a thriving team environment that inspires everyone to excel using their unique strengths and skills.

Spin Wastewater into Liquid Gold!

In the classic tale, Rumpelstiltskin spun straw into gold. At Water Corporation, our Plant Managers do something just as magical, transforming raw wastewater into purified groundwater and renewable energy!

We’re seeking two imaginative and driven Operations & Maintenance Managers!

  • One Manager to lead Beenyup Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) – WA’s second largest treatment plant, where wastewater is treated to high standards before being discharged via ocean outfall or diverted for further transformation. Soon, Beenyup will also harness energy recovery, turning waste into power.
  • Another Manager to lead the Advanced Water Recycling Plant (AWRP) – A highly regulated, technically complex facility that uses a multi-barrier treatment process, including ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis, to produce purified recycled water for aquifer recharge. A true Australian first in sustainable water innovation.

Want a peek behind the curtain? Check out our collaboration with Atomic Frontier. The first half of the video explores the Beenyup WRRF, while the second half dives into the AWRP.

Who are we?

When you join Water Corporation, you play an important role for the people of WA. Our services are essential for life - everyday, millions of Western Australians rely on us to deliver and manage water across our state.

If you’re driven to make a meaningful contribution, you’ve come to the right place.

Your Mission

Own the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Beenyup WRR or the AWRP, critical assets that cross barriers between wastewater treatment and the start of the groundwater cycle to help lead our water sustainability strategy.

Your work directly supports Perth’s water security and environmental sustainability, turning what others discard into something of lasting value.

Lead a team of technical experts and highly skilled trades, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and supportive culture.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and effective maintenance of critical assets. Your negotiation and relationship building skills will be key.

Mitigate risk by identifying potential issues before they arise and implementing strategic solutions.

Champion sustainability by helping us meet our groundwater replenishment targets and contribute to our Vision and Thrive 2035 goals.

What You Bring

You bring the expertise and leadership to guide complex processes and teams; the kind of skill that turns challenges into opportunity, and wastewater into liquid gold!

  • Substantial experience in operations, maintenance, or process management ideally in water, utilities, mining, or similar industries.
  • A technical degree (Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or related field). An MBA or leadership training is a bonus.
  • A background and understanding of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis (especially for AWRP).
  • Proven leadership experience where you have led technical teams and know how to bring out the best in people.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to think laterally and solve complex problems.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, asset management, and operational risk.
  • A valid driver’s license as this role includes site-based work and incident response responsibilities.

Impact, Support, Culture and Growth. Just some of the reason why you should join us!

You’ll work with a leader who’s fair, resilient, and committed to helping you grow; someone who values clarity, accountability, and teamwork.

You will be trusted to lead with a high level of autonomy, backed by support when you need it.

Your judgment will be respected, your contributions recognised, and your development genuinely prioritised.

You’ll be part of a fantastic on-site team culture where people stay because they are valued, challenged, and supported.

This is also a place to grow your expertise. Whether you're deepening your technical knowledge or stepping into strategic leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert and help shape the future of water recovery infrastructure in WA.
