Salary range: $84,436 per annum to $112,331 per annum + 12% super and benefits (Health Mgr Lvl 1)
Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park

About the Opportunity:
The role is responsible for assisting injured staff receiving medical treatment under Workers Compensation to progress them to self-management and discharge of treatment. The role will coordinate and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure that recovered injured workers are receiving evidence-based treatment that is reasonable and necessary under the legislation. This key role will provide technical advice and apply best practice interventions to progress claims to finalisation and closure, whilst also fostering care and compassion for those recovering from injury.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced injury management professional, managing complex physical and psychological injuries.
- Is a team player with the ability to work independently in a high demand role, working with key stakeholders to improve recovery outcomes for our injured workers.
- Has a strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and how it is applied for exempt and non-exempt workers.
- Can work within the parameters set and offer a balanced and strategic approach to their work. They are organised, structured in their working style, and strive to provide the highest quality of customer service to our customers.
- Is an experienced Recovery at Work Coordinator and holds a current NSW Return to Work Certification.
- Is passionate about returning people to health and work and can work within processes and policies in a complex and changing environment.
- Takes a balanced, strategic, and proactive approach to their work and can deliver positive outcomes for our customers and injured workers.
- Works collaboratively with the wider Recovery team and key stakeholders and provides valuable input into current practices and process, with a view to achieving quality business outcomes.
