Role Overview:

In this role as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will deliver high-quality assessment and intervention services to children and families, helping children develop the skills they need to participate fully in everyday life — at home, at school, and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised therapy plans for children with developmental, sensory, and functional challenges.

Deliver engaging, play-based interventions that promote independence in self-care, fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, and participation in play and learning.

Collaborate closely with families, educators, and other health professionals (including physiotherapists and speech pathologists) to support holistic care.

Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development activities to enhance service quality and outcomes.

Provide supervision and mentoring to students, Allied Health Assistants, and early career therapists where appropriate.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

At least 1 year of experience in paediatric occupational therapy preferred.

A caring and compassionate nature with a love for working with children and families.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
