Join us at VEND Annerley Café — part of Brisbane’s favourite indoor marketplace for local makers, artists, and small businesses. We’re looking for a talented Head Chef to help lead our kitchen, working closely with our Casual Chef to maintain high standards and deliver wholesome, delicious dishes that keep our customers coming back.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes to a consistently high standard

Collaborate with the kitchen team to foster a positive, supportive work culture

Assist our Virginia head chef with menu development, seasonal specials, and creative food presentation

Manage kitchen operations, including stock rotation, prep, and cleanliness

Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations

Work closely with the Front of House team to create a seamless dining experience

About You

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a qualified Chef (café or restaurant environment)

Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills

Thrive in a fast-paced kitchen while keeping calm and positive

Team-oriented attitude with a genuine love for good food and community

Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
