About the Role
Under the guidance of the Manager, Team Leader, and Consultant Psychiatrist, and in conjunction with the Wellways Program Manager, the Grade 2 Psychologist will provide a high standard of psychological intervention, recovery planning and support for consumers in the PARC program.

  • Conduct short-term (e.g., 1 - 4 sessions) of psychological intervention to consumers at PARC who are referred to the PARC psychology service.
  • Provide best practice/evidence based interventions for consumers presenting with high prevalence disorders (e.g anxiety, depression, PTSD) and low prevalence disorders (e.g psychosis) such as ACT, CBT, and other evidence-based therapies.
  • Develop and deliver group-based interventions for PARC participants according to needs of the program.

Classifications for this position will range from classification range from

  • Psychologist Grade 2 PK1 - PK4 ($94,478- $106,906 per annum pro rata)

Your Contribution

  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) as a general psychologist.
  • Practice endorsement with AHPRA as a Clinical Psychologist or eligibility to enter a Clinical Psychology registrar program with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Masters Degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology recognized by Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC)
  • Current Victorian drivers license
  • Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About North Fitzroy PARC
PARC is a 10 bed short term residential unit that provides early intervention for people who are becoming mentally unwell in the community, as well as support to strengthen and consolidate gains made for people in the early stages of recovery from an acute psychiatric episode. It is run in partnership between St Vincent's Mental Health (SVMH) and Wellways.
