About the role

We are seeking a creative lead to join our Creative, Print and Brand Services team.

As a Digital Experience Officer (Senior Graphic Designer), you will lead the end-to-end design process from concept through to delivery, shaping the ATO’s visual identity to ensure our brand is consistent, engaging, and impactful across all channels.

Your role will involve engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements, influence direction, and ensure design solutions are fit for purpose. With strong knowledge of design trends, technologies, and agile ways of working, you’ll help the team innovate and deliver user-centred outcomes.

Your duties

• Provide customer-focused design services and advice

• Think strategically and creatively to provide design solutions

• Lead the enhancement of the design processes

• Strengthen team capabilities through mentoring and coaching

Skills and experience

• 5+ years of creative/graphic design experience

• Experience in one or more of the following; illustration, typesetting, digital design, brand identity, animation, HTML5, and or UX/UI design

• Leadership experience to ensure the team delivers high-impact, audience-focused visual content

• Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft suites

• Understands and applies government and industry principles (Digital Service Standard and WCAG 2.1 AA)

These roles will be offered in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra or Sydney CBD.
